From the BBC: in a forensic first, blood from a mosquito recovered from a stolen vehicle has successfully placed a suspect at the scene, based on matching the DNA profile of human blood ingested by the female insect.
(Above photo is not of the actual insect in question – don’t be so gullible! Besides, the investigators would’ve been total fools to give the little vampire a chance to get away just to take an artful photo like that.)
